Food Safety Solutions - G&K Services provides ProSura, a program to mitigate cross-contamination to improve food safety in the food processing, grocery and restaurant industries. ProSura supports organizations in these industries with their Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans, along with the BioSmart fabric technology that kills many common bacteria and is the only food safety program of its kind currently in place in the garment supplier industry.
Flame Resistant Technology - G&K Services is a large provider of flame resistant garments and personal protective equipment by developing and providing the ProTect flame resistant safety solutions.
Cleanroom Solutions - The G&K Services Accutrak scanning and tracing system identifies pick-up, delivery, usage, wash history and repair status of all garments for traceability and inventory control for the cleanroom industry.

History

G&K began as a small, family-owned dye house and has grown into a large provider of branded identity apparel programs and facility services.

1902 - Company founded as Twin City Steam Dye Works renamed to Gross & Kronick Dyers
1910 - Gross & Kronick introduces "door-to-door" laundry service
1948 - G&K offers "diaper service" due to the baby boom
1960 - G&K responds to the automobile wave by opening "drive-in cleaners"
1969 - G&K goes public
